Elegant Eden
This custom home is an elegant paradise. It boasts an effortless flow from the open kitchen and lounge areas, to the outdoor pool and back again. And the prominently placed wet bar is always there at your disposal if you get thirsty along the way. These empty nesters love to cook, socialize, and enjoy the good life, and their meticulous attention to detail meant that every nook and corner fits perfectly into the big picture.
High-end finishes and light fixtures are just the thing to accompany a vaulted living room and customized cabinetry in every room. Even the beloved family dog was taken into consideration and now has his own dedicated dog wash in the laundry room. The result is nothing short of spectacular, and we might be feeling just a little jealous that we didn’t get to keep this home for ourselves at the end of the project.
Entertainers Paradise
These retired professionals wanted to design their dream home around the things they love. After decades of hard work, it was now time to play, and this entertainer’s paradise lends itself perfectly to do just that. Situated on a bluff overlooking the ocean, the contemporary home features a grand kitchen that can cook for a crowd. Two large guest rooms, each outfitted with their own ensuites and walk-in closets, are always ready for visitors. And a built-in entertainment system in the living room, as well as a large outdoor deck and hot tub, are the cherries on top.
This home even boasts its very own lawn bowling pit and putting green, as well as a games room with a well-stocked bar. We hope we are always on the invite list for every gathering around here.
Crown Island Beauty
When these clients were looking to downsize, they wanted to include finer details and finishings in a home that still offered easy upkeep. While the empty nesters are outdoorsy and active, they chose a home that is intentionally situated on a smaller lot to minimize yard work. But there’s nothing cramped about this open flowing ranch-style home when you step inside.
The kitchen and oversized island were built for an enthusiastic home chef, and the large ensuite comes with all the bells and whistles of a high-end spa. What’s more, every bedroom has its own bathroom, providing ultra comfort for visiting children and grandchildren. Custom trims, wainscotting, and crown detailing elevate the design and suggest a feeling of opulence in this sought-after Crown Isle development.
Refined Harmony
These medical doctors desired a contemporary home that considered both their young children’s needs as well as their own. The kids had to have space to play and be, well, kids, and the adults required some tranquil details that could serve as a counterweight to their high-impact careers. The crawl space was adapted into a playroom, and the deck and communal outdoor space is the perfect area to host big family get-togethers. However, the private oasis garden off the master bedroom, as well as a large soaker tub and spa-like shower in the master ensuite, could help any hard-working person unwind.
Additional Instagram-worthy details include the open vaulted living area, contemporary kitchen with a large island and built-in appliances, open metal and wood staircase, and customized closets and storage. This family also loves the great outdoors. They enjoy skiing, surfing, and everything in between. Good thing their new home, with its stunning views of the ocean and mountains, serve as a daily reminder that nature is just a stone’s throw away. That said, there is still no place quite like home to retreat to after a supreme day in the sun or in the snow.
Airy Abode
Can a colour inspire an entire house? Yes it can! These clients aren’t feeling blue, they just love the colour blue, and we helped them create an atmosphere that captures all the good vibes wrapped up in this primary hue. From the blues of the surrounding ocean to mountain lakes and sunny skies, this happy home is as fresh and as open as nature itself. Warmer details, like a gorgeous wood-burning stove encased in a rock and wood mantle, and timber fixtures throughout, help ground this otherwise light and airy abode.
Practical features, such as radiant in-floor heating and a hidden walk-in pantry, give this couple all the modern conveniences they need to feel comfortable, cozy, and in love with their colourful life.
Coastal Vista
The views from this vacation property really speak for themselves, and so it stands to reason that this client wanted to keep the million-dollar views in-tact. To do so, the entire living space is perched above the garage, somewhat like a grown-up tree house, where scenic glaciers, mountains, and farmland are not obstructed by the home's structure. In fact, the kitchen features oversized windows across the back of the counters, with cabinets only placed down below and on the interior wall to maximize on this view.
A vacation home is also the perfect place to add in a little playfulness (as if the idea of a treehouse isn’t fun enough), and the Cameron’s enjoyed collaborating with the owners on the funky bathroom tile design and fixtures. These avid skiers desired a second home that was not only close to the slopes but offered the perfect après ski environment. They also wanted the property to feel just as inviting during the summer months when the only skiing takes place on the water.
Waterfront Oasis
This waterfront property embodies all the luxurious detailing and tranquil surroundings these two hard-working entrepreneurs dreamed about. The chef-inspired kitchen features custom wine racks, ample pantry storage, and built-in refrigerators. And the grand media room is a sports fanatic’s paradise, with built-in AV components and an additional fridge and wet bar to satisfy mid-game munchies.
Interior finishes complement the natural beauty just outside their doorstep. Warm timbre detailing is used throughout the home, and sparkly features, like glass and polished steal, mirror the sunlight as it shimmers across the Strait of Johnson. These clients wanted it all, and we are proud to say that the Cameron’s delivered. This happy couple can now spend a quiet evening unwinding alone or easily gear up to entertain a crowd at a moment’s notice.

What our clients are saying

Incredible team. Excellent craftsmanship.
Working with the Camerons to build our first ever home was a wonderful experience. Even during a pandemic, they were able to complete our home on a quick timeline, with excellent craftsmanship. We greatly appreciated the quality of the trades they had and it was obvious that all the subcontractors not only respected the Cameron’s, but enjoyed working with them. Even long after moving in, Cory was only a text away and would immediately respond to any incidental repairs and warranty issues that arose. I can’t recall the amount of times we said “thank goodness we are working with the Cameron’s” and we are confident that you will say the same thing. They started out as our contractors and have ended up becoming friends!

I can personally speak to Cameron Contracting’s excellent customer service and high quality craftsmanship
My fiancé and I built our first home with Cameron Contracting this past year. The build started in June, and we were in by Christmas. Cory was our site manager and did a great job keeping on schedule and easing any concerns we have. Kristy accompanied us to all our selection meetings and gave us great advice in picking the perfect finishings. Don and Kristy were instrumental in helping our dream come to reality and we feel very blessed to have had their help in building our beautiful home.
McKenna & Reid
We are really pleased with our stunning new build home by Cameron Contracting.
They are great at communicating, meeting all our needs, and finished the house in a timely fashion. We highly recommend!
Gemma & Vasi
We had a very custom build that presented many challenges initially.
Don and Cory were excellent at problem solving and finding options that we were truly happy with–going that extra mile to ensure that you are satisfied. They obviously are very passionate and enthusiastic about the work they do and treat you as one of the family. Kristy made the design process fun and easy. They are approachable, and responded promptly, taking the time to ensure all our many, many questions were answered.

Their building process was easy and fun!
The Cameron's are the dedicated family oriented business that can do it all. We chose them to build our dream home because they can build anything you can think of. I liked the "cost plus" system because it allows you to chose your materials without generating change order cost as you go. It might make the overall cost more expensive compared with a pre build "Spec" house, but allows your dream house to be customized as much as you want.
