For over 35 years, the Cameron’s have been building in the Comox valley.
When we’re not digging in the dirt, covered in sawdust, or supporting our clients, we kick back with each other and the beauty of the valley around us.
In 2015 we joined forces as a family, and now two generations of Cameron’s run the company together. This is an amazing opportunity, and one we are so proud of. We value hard work and honesty, and we recognize the importance of being lit up by your everyday–something we like to offer our clients with the home building experience. Our relationships with one another, our team, and our clients are truly invaluable to us and they’re why we love showing up to work each day. Happily, we can say we’ve turned a lot of clients into family-like friends!
When we’re not on the job, and as we each love the great outdoors, you can often find one of us either camping, quadding, fishing, hiking with our dog, picking mushrooms or enjoying a meal together while taking in the coastal view. Since there are a lot of us Cameron’s, every dinner is quite the gathering and we relish in the energy of being in one another’s company.
We come with big hearts, a wealth of experience in all things homes, a passion for realizing customers dream builds, and a lot of humour. To say that business is a family affair would be an understatement. We are building this legacy together, we cannot imagine doing it any other way, and we are honoured to share the experience with our clients.
You are part of our family, and we are here for you–from realizing your vision to celebrating your completed home. Living your best life starts with heart and that’s what our family and team bring to the table when we build your home.
Buying a home requires great trust in the people you have chosen to work with. Cameron knows you have options, and we will consistently work to prove to you that entrusting us with your project was the best decision.
The highest quality standards in service, materials, and craftsmanship are embedded into everything we do. Expect maximum attention to detail, creativity and seamless processes through your build. Caring about your home as if it were our own is the only way we work.
With over 35 years of building experience in the valley, I have a wealth of industry and building expertise.
My husband, Don and I started our home building experiences by renovating and flipping properties–we were really flipping before it was even a thing!
Every construction site needs an on-site supervisor who knows all the details about the project. I am that guy.
As the all-construction supervisor, I oversee all large, complex jobs not only in single-family builds, but townhouses and apartment buildings too.
My diverse role as in-house designer as well as office and client manager keeps me sharp and my work fun and unique!
I use my excellent memory, detailed eyes and problem solving nature as the bookkeeper at Cameron to keep all things finances in order.

I am very hands-on in the daily operations of the business and provide a high-level detailed eye on all the moving parts, and lending my superpower of picking out key points within a build project. When my team needs clarity, I love being there to support or guide them–but I’m also not afraid to shift their butts into high-gear when needed!
Today, I am so excited to be in business with my family and together, build a legacy that we are all proud to carry on. Every year I look forward to our annual team Christmas party where we relax, reflect and appreciate the hard work everyone has put in over the year.
When I’m not in the office, I love spending time with my amazing grandkids, hiking or exploring the outdoors. Otherwise, I’ve kicked off my shoes, hopped in my hot tub and am enjoying the view.
I love that I now get to be part of a company that was designed and built around family while also sharing my years of experience in home designing.
As a designer, every project inspires me. I truly get excited about the process itself. My strength is in my ability to envision a space the clients will love even before they have a fully formed idea of what they are looking for. I find bringing a home to completion, heart warming and exciting.
Outside of work, I adore spending time with my ever-growing bundle of grandkids! They keep me very busy. I relish in cruising up the B.C. coast by boat and love to camp or hike. I once did a seven day hike through the Andes mountains. I have also worked as a spiritual healer and still have clients around the world.
I love having my feet on the ground to put all the pieces together. I am a problem solver by nature, I can remember an infinite number of details, I never back down from a challenge, always looking to provide creative thinking to find solutions that look incredible and are functional. Oh, and if you’ve seen our social channel, then you’ll probably recognize me as the guy in front of the camera, touring you around another stunning home while poking fun at my family!
When off the clock, I like to SCUBA dive, camp, and spend time in the wilderness. But my true purpose in life is to create; from beautiful homes to beautiful babies (I have four children with my wife, Taylor). My family means everything to me, and working with my siblings and parents makes it easy to get out of bed and come to work each day.
At a high-level of management, I am incredibly task motivated and genuinely enjoy being busy! As any good leader, I also know how to have a little fun with the team. Ask around and they will tell you, I am notorious for posting meme’s in the outhouse for a good laugh! I am proud of all the work we do at Cameron and truly love the process of turning a patch of dirt into a client’s perfect home.
I keep pretty active on my days off as well. If I’m not ripping around on a quad with my buddies, I’ve loaded up the trailer with my wife, Dawn, our four amazing daughters and our husky, Diesel and have headed into the wilderness for some camping. I am also a huge music and movie guy too. If there’s an action or thriller up on the screen, I’m there!
Every day is different and along with flexing my people skills, I also get to apply my creative skills daily. For me, nothing beats the smile on a client’s face when we walk them through their completed dream home!
My family has always been my biggest inspiration. We work super well together and we are always encouraging each other to succeed, embrace challenges, and be our best selves. Luckily, I am able to bring my daughter to work and immerse her in this amazing family environment.
After an exciting week at the office, I love to relax on the weekends by spending time outdoors with my husband, daughter, and our dog. I play competitive volleyball and I’m also pretty good at fishing, too. Call it luck or speaking energetically to the fish, my husband hates that I always get the bigger catch of the day on our fishing adventures!
I also love to step out into the field to take photos of our homes. All our builds are fantastic, but I have a special love for homes with timber frame staircases, tall ceilings, and big windows as well as homes with customized sound throughout the whole house!
When you visit our office, you will find me as one of the parents surrounded by kiddo totes and baby toys. We are so lucky to be able to bring our little ones to work! At home, I am often playing games with my girls, enjoying my piano or unwinding with a book in bed or the tub. In the summer, if my husband, Shaun, and I haven’t taken our girls camping, I will be in the garden growing dahlias, sweet peas and peonies along with an orchard of delicious fruit trees and berries! It’s our own little oasis!
